Clearing your browser cache and history in Internet Explorer

Why do you need to clear your browser cache & history?

Your browser has a folder which contains certain items that have been downloaded and stored for future use. This includes bookitlive images, buttons and files required by the bookitlive software, these files are saved (cached) on your device. When using a bookitlive webpage your browser checks if a copy of the files on the page is in its cache already. If so, it will save time by not downloading again which makes the webpages load faster. In certain situations the saved files might be out of date and impact the normal operation of the bookitlive software and will need to be updated.


Force Browser refresh Internet Explorer

Sometimes a force browser refresh by clicking Ctrl + F5 will solve the problem. If this does not work a forced clear of your browser's cache is required to download all latest data from a website.

If a browser refresh does not resolve the problem force clear the browser cache and history.

  1. Select the cog in the top right hand corner
  2. Under Browser History select Delete
  3. Select all options and select Delete
