What are resources?

Resource are used to define a schedule of availability for a person, room or equipment that perform service. A Resource is required to make a service available to be booked as the Resources schedule defines the availability. Dependent on the business you operate a resource can be defined for different purposes.

Driving School

Resources would include the Driving Instructors that offer the lesson. Each Driving Instructor would have their own schedule and be linked to the Lesson types they can conduct.

  • Initial lesson (auto) 1hr

  • Ongoing lesson (auto) 1hr, 30min

  • Ongoing lesson - Licence test (auto) 2hrs, 30min

Fitness studio

Resources would include the Driving Instructors that offer the lesson.

When offering group classes a resource is used for the class schedule. Normally only one class type would be linked to the class schedule.

For example: A resource for a group training session called Grip Class Schedule would only be linked to the Grip Class service. This allows for each different type of class to have its own schedule of times when the class  occurs.
